Dawn Gibson
Dawn left her career in Colorado as a Director of Customer Service for a high tech information company when she and her husband relocated to Dallas.

Deciding to pursue an avid interest in painting, she became an active member of the Texas Visual Arts Association. Through this connection she studied for two years with Ann Cushing Gantz, a well known artist and teacher. Further instruction came from course work taken at the San Jose Museum of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago.

After studying and painting on canvas for several years, she painted a mural for a close friend. Fueled by word of mouth, this launched a busy and exciting 20 year career creating paintings and murals on walls and ceilings in more than 2,000 private and corporate collections in eight states. Local work includes American Airlines Center in Dallas, Children's Pulmonary Clinic in Frisco, the Euless Public Library, and numerous schools and restaurants.

She enjoys work that can include collaboration with designers and clients in the overall creative process, whether it be traditional, abstract, or transitional. She is moved by today's stream of free abstraction in American art and has found a middle ground between that freedom and traditional art.
